My name is Parker and I haven't stopped making art since beginning as a kid with a crayon in hand. I got serious in high school, then amped it up by majoring in design arts. Made paintings in the home and in the streets throughout Los Angeles, Portland, and now on Maui. If you want to know more details about any of the things, feel free to reach out and ask. Artist Statement: My work attempts to encompass the unfathomable. I am insanely curious about all of the things that we simply cannot know. Where science, religion and philosophy all talk in circles. The truth of the reality of our existence. Everything that reality is, is beyond us. I'm thrilled by that fact. As I have grown through the various chapters of my life, my work has grown as well. Recently the imagery coming out of my studio is almost entirely focused upon new age spiritualism. Trying to wrap my paintbrush around ideas and concepts of reality. Of what it means to be a conscious human. With your help, I can continue to share this artwork with the world. To allow everyone to use this visual imagery to open their mind. - Parker Detchon |
